We are
growing
a community
Craft Australia works to connect, support and advocate for Australian craftspeople. We help make your work seen and your voice heard. We are louder together.
Whether it is highlighting and celebrating established practitioners, providing opportunities nationally and internationally, or championing the provision of improved training and education nationwide, Craft Australia is working for you.
Craftspeople are among the most dispersed and under-resourced practitioners in the cultural sector. A ceramicist in regional Queensland, a weaver in remote Western Australia, and a jeweller in inner Melbourne share the same challenges: uncertain outcomes, limited market access, and underrepresentation in policy.
Together through Craft Australia, we speak as one sector.

CONNECTION
here & overseas
We connect Australian craftspeople with each other here and around the world. We augment the work of state-based craft organisations by building bridges within Australia and internationally.
Craft Australia's official connections to the Asia Pacific Craft Alliance, UNESCO Creative Cities of Crafts and Folk Art, and Homo Faber through the Michelangelo Foundation give Australian craftspeople direct channels into cultural networks in more than 90 countries.
Our internationally lauded official magazine GARLAND documents and details the lives of craftspeople.
